TDR Program Description 

The TDR Program, a specialized two-year training initiative, is a joint endeavor by Anton Oil and SLB designed to prepare Iraqi professionals for success in the oil industry. Utilizing a multi-phase approach to learning, the program integrates classroom instruction, workshops, on-the-job training, and shadowing opportunities, which gradually transition into reverse shadowing, allowing trainees to take the lead while receiving guidance from their mentors.

During the initial phase, participants engage in intensive classroom and workshop sessions, where they are introduced to crucial concepts in English and Petroleum Engineering. The training then progresses to the practical, hands-on stage where trainees work on real-world scenarios, applying their knowledge in a supportive, learning-focused environment.

As trainees grow in confidence and proficiency, they transition into a shadowing period, observing seasoned Anton Oil professionals at work. In the final stage, the roles are reversed. Trainees assume the lead role under the watchful guidance of their mentors, putting their acquired skills and knowledge to the test.

The TDR Program is primarily designed for Iraqi professionals, with Anton Oil providing necessary expertise in terms of manpower and program resources to ensure the program's success. The initiative aims not just to impart technical skills, but also to cultivate a mindset of ongoing learning and dedication in a rapidly evolving industry.

The effectiveness and quality of the TDR Program is evidenced by the successful graduation of the first batch of trainees. Exceeding the initial target, 110 professionals, including Oil Operators, Maintenance Technicians, and HSE Firefighters, have been equipped with the skills and knowledge to make their mark in the oil industry.
